Marvel The Gr8

Michael Rios, better known by his pseudonym Marvel the GR8, is an American hip-hop artist hailing from Los Angeles, California. His unconventional wordplay and ability to incite a party at live performances has helped him manifest a sound he can call his own. From intimate underground warehouse parties, to gracing the Stage at the historic Rock The Bells Music Festival, it’s safe to say Marvel has come a long way. A (short) list of artists he has performed with sounds like an all-star Spotify rap playlist, including The Game, Pusha-T, Fabolous, Too $hort, DJ Quik, Cam’ron, E40 and J-Cole. After releasing his mixtape GR8, Michael started to gain attention by hip-hop heads and EDM lovers all around the southwest region of the United States. This led to having songs featured on both Toca Tuesdays with Tony Touch (Shade 45) as well as Diplo and Friends (Alt 98.7FM). His upward trajectory and unique persona makes Marvel stand out amongst the plethora of artists that Los Angeles has to offer. Marvel The GR8 is slated to release his next project entitled Postmodern Ignorance in 2016. This full-length collection of original songs promises to reveal a very entertaining analysis of popular music with an undertone of social commentary told from the perspective of a multicultural millennial living in Southern California.
