You may have heard of his collaborations with wordly known jamaican artists such as WINSTON FRANCIS, PERCYDREAD, DADDY FREDDY etc... He takes part into several other projects as a composer for labels like SouLove records of dj Afghan and Zaddiq Muziq of MighiDee and performing as a piano & organ player for bands like Radio Babylon and Ciani's reggae etc... ending up being constantly on tour. In 2010 the versatile singer's duet Rubba Dubba joined him on stage with their unic acustic vibration showing that the energy the three voices can deliver when wisely merged together it's just amazing. Roots vibrations of love and freedom have already been spread all around by the team especially during the past year while people's love for their songs increased show after show. ITA: Dietro il nome di Marumba si nasconde un bravo cantante, un arguto compositore, un maratoneta dei live e soprattutto un appassionato della musica reggae. In questi anni ha collaborato con diversi artisti italiani senza barriere di genere e di stile, accompagnandoli nei loro tour. Da solista però i suoi sforzi sono tutti per il battito in levare, sforzi che si sono concretizzati nell’uscita del suo album di debutto BY THE WAY (Soulove Records), che lo vedono naturalmente protagonista, sia nella scrittura dei testi che nella composizione della musica. Il disco BY THE WAY è il risultato di una collaborazione speciale con il cantante inglese Percydread (Natural-Ites) che ascoltando le tracce in anteprima, ha deciso di incidere un intero disco chiamato Dash de Gun (Soulove Records) dove Marumba è compositore della musica. Da qui il pezzo Different presente nel cd, in cui Marumba e Percydread duettano in pieno stile roots. Al suo fianco troviamo Michele Brunelli (Playmo) al basso, Edoardo Corsalini (Dodo) alla chitarra, Adriano Taborro al mandolino, Roberto Bottegoni (Bobby Babylon) al sax, Daniele Cherubini (Troy) al trombone, Valentina Lucchetti alla voce, Simone Giaconi (Simò del Porto) alla voce, Federico Maffei (Fez) al mastering, mentre la produzione è curata da Mighi D (Zaddik Musik) & Dj Afghan (Soulove Records). Ad anticipare l’album arriva il singolo e relativo video ufficiale di “By The Way” pubblicato su Youtube e diretto dal regista Diego Capomagi (Barabba). Memorabile il concerto al foro di Senigallia per la festa della musica 2012 con i Ciani’s riddim band e l’artista giamaicano Winston Francis, voce storica degli anni 60 che vanta collaborazioni straordinarie, primo tra tutti Bob Marley. Marumba, proveniente da Ancona, del reggae ama soprattutto le sonorità dub, roots e per certi aspetti rockers, proprio come dimostra “By The Way”, brano capace di suscitare attenzione sin dal primo ascolto, grazie anche ad un testo positivo e solare che ben omaggia lo spirito della reggae music.
