Marleen Polakowski

Marleen Polakowski (*1990 in Cologne, Germany) is a Techno DJane and educated Music Producer. “If you don’t go forwards you go backwards“ is the motto of this young emerging talent.Her musical passion is Techno: groovy, impulsive, straight forward and influenced by melodic parts. Thanks to Marleens technical prowess and the creative mastery of Traktor, her sets are renowned for their creativity and unique musical style. She plays with 4 decks all in all with the aid of 2 midi-controllers to enable a creative and individual DJ/Live set. Biography At the early age of 14, Marleen Polakowski discovered her passion for electronic music. In 2004 she started to practice mixing vinyl with her DJ friends and was unstoppable ever since. In 2006 she went to Australia for nearly 2 years to network with international contacts of the electronic music industry and to diversify her musical influences. There, she also started playing with CDs and began to produce her own music with several DAWs. In early 2008 she went back to Germany and at 17 started her DJ-career at the legendary “Rheingold Saal” Club (also known as Poison Club) in Duesseldorf. 11th April 2011 she released her first official EP "Confused Flute" at "BM Slim" (sublabel of Baile Musik) under her old artist name “Mimi Marleen“. In 2014 she has started again with a few remixes including Patrik Berg’s hit “Aquamarin” for the Berlin label “Fanciful”. In 2013 she joined Mike Maaß’s emerging Techno label and agency "Black Circus". 2014 she spent a long time at Ibiza as resident DJ for Sankeys Club. There she came up with the idea to establish a music management organisation named “Sunidara”. Back in Germany she started with her first very successful events. Up to this date, the young techno-driven babe is active internationally like Borderine in Switzerland and is booked by the best clubs in Germany (including Nature One, U60311-Frankfurt/Main, Butan Club-Wuppertal, several Clubs in Berlin and many more) to offer the audience an unique techno-highlight. Since 2015 she is part of the newcomer label “Uncut” from Cologne and she has released on the first remix compilation with artits like Mike Wall, Ixel, Lukas Freudenberger, Florian Frings and many more. Currently there are 2 EP’s plannend: “Vintage Mind” at the mexican label “Urban Recording” and “Sinister Mind” at Electrorites’s italian label “Shout Reords” ith remixers like Luix Spectrum and many more. Ihr „Metier“ ist der Techno: groovig, straight nach Vorn und beeinflusst von melodiösen Klängen. Ihre Kreativität und ihr musikalisches Gehör leiten Sie immer zu einem Perfektionismus, der ausnahmslos eine Top Performance garantiert. Marleen Polakowski entdeckte schon im Alter von 14 Jahren ihre Leidenschaft für die elektronische Tanzmusik. So kam es, dass Sie 2004 das Mixen von Vinyl erlernte. 2006 verschlug es Sie für fast zwei Jahre nach Australien, um sich musikalisch weiter zu entwickeln und das Produzieren zu erforschen. 2008, zurück in Deutschland, startete die damals 17-jährige Marleen im Rheingold Saal (Düsseldorf) und Butan (Wuppertal) ihre DJ Karriere. Seit jeher tourt die junge Künstlerin durch viele Clubs Deutschlands und entwickelt sich durch die vielen Eindrücke stets weiter. 2011 releaste Sie noch unter Ihrem alten Künstler Namen „Mimi Marleen“ ihre erste EP "Confused Flute" auf „Baile Musik“. Danach folgten gleich zwei Remixe, u.a. für Patrik Bergs Hit “Aquamarin” beim Berliner Label „Fanciful“. 2013 trat sie dem Label „Black Circus“ von Mike Maaß bei und darauf das Jahr war die junge Künstlerin durch ihre Auftritte im Sankeys auf Ibiza bereits international bekannt. 2015 wurde sie Teil des frisch formierten Kölner Labels „Uncut“, auf welchem sie mit Künstlern wie Mike Wall, Ixel, Lukas Freudenberger, Florian Frings uva. das erste Album als limitierte CD veröffentlichte.
