About Marcus Santoro (Producer/DJ)

If Marcus Santoro’s music could be described with three words - melodic, emotive, and energetic would be the way to go. For years, the Melbourne native has championed the sounds of progressive house, big room, and trance, spinning them into his own distinct blend of dance music. Nods of approval from legendary acts such as Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, and many others go to show why he consistently remains one of Australia’s finest electronic exports today.

Santoro’s career took off to a meteoric rise in 2016 after his music caught the ear of trance legends Above & Beyond. His single “There Is Only You” topped the Beatport trance charts and received a phenomenal three plays in a row from Above & Beyond on their Group Therapy radio show — landing Marcus a guest appearance on the show a few weeks later. His works continue to be a staple in the trio’s sets ever since. He gained even further acclaim after Armin van Buuren started supporting his music and remixes on his A State of Trance radio show. Shortly after, Armin signed Marcus onto his Armind label with “Hijack,” and a new chapter was born for the young producer.

While his music continued to make waves in the trance world, Santoro’s remix for Shapov and Trouze’s “The Way” on Axwell’s Axtone imprint began raising attention from both his peers and industry titans alike. The remix skyrocketed his reputation to a whole new level — adding the likes of Martin Garrix, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, and Nicky Romero to his extensive support list. It quickly broke a million streams on streaming platforms, and resided for weeks on Spotify’s premiere electronic playlist “mint”, a feat achieved only by the best in the genre.

Official remixes for Adam Lambert, Markus Schulz, Tritonal, MaRLo, Sick Individuals, and Thomas Gold further strengthen Santoro’s impressive portfolio, showcasing his versatility and ability to transform even the biggest hits into dance-floor smashers.

While a steady release schedule has kept him at the top of his game, Marcus Santoro isn’t slowing down when it comes to touring either — commanding and selling out some of Australia’s most iconic venues and clubs. Pacha and Marquee in Sydney, the massive HQ Complex in Adelaide, Etihad Stadium and Hisense Arena in Melbourne are all venues he’s performed at in his home country — but he doesn’t stop there. Santoro has also headlined festival stages on a global level, performing at Tomorrowland UNITE in Dubai, Transmission Festival, BAO Festival, Stereosonic, and Istoria Festival. He also opened for Above & Beyond during their “Common Ground” tour.

Armed with the well-earned respect of both his idols and his peers, alongside the unmatched passion and dedication he imposes daily onto his craft, there is no denying that Marcus Santoro is one of dance music’s finest exports — making an everlasting impact on the hearts and minds of fans across the globe.
