Madie Boyd is a four-piece indie pop group born and bred out of the Central Valley of California. Blending the essence of roots rock and compelling songwriting style brewed from inspirational legendary songwriters, such as Bob Dylan, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Neil Young, and many more, with the clean cut production and musicality seen in bands like The Stokes, Young The Giant, Death Cab For Cutie, and others of that nature, Madie Boyd captures the feelings of love, hate, heartbreak, hope, anger, and acceptance along with lyrically arising thoughts of religion, life, living, current culture, and the great curiosities behind human nature. However, in the same instance, the catchy melodies and clever corresponding guitar riffs disguise the thoughtful lyrics within laid back grooves and uptempo dance worthy pop tunes, giving listeners of all sorts something to look forward to in every track. These qualities can all be found in the band's first full-length release 'Basic, Just Like You', released just this year (Listen now at madieboydlives.bandcamp.com). The album was written and recorded from the end of 2012 all throughout the year of 2013. The band worked day and night writing, tracking, producing, mixing, and preparing for the drop of the album and overall believe strongly that they have accomplished what they set out to do with this record. Madie Boyd continues to play shows all throughout California and is consistently trying to develop them into a greater and greater experience for the audience every time. The band thrives in a live performance setting and loves to perform for friends, fans, and music lovers of all sorts. The band is always writing and creating. Preparations for the next album are already underway and have been for sometime. In the process of recording 'Basic, Just Like You', the second record was being written.
