About MASHROOMS

1999 At the very beginning, Mashrooms was born in a pigsty/practice room of a countryhouse in Siracusa. They were 4 guys: "Andrea Drums", "Paolo Bass", "Davide Guitar" and "Stefano Guitar". At the same time as Danilo joined the group Davide left and the 4 survivors moved to Catania. 2003 At this point the band made its first small tour in south Italy and recorded the first album, "Welcome to Spackentown", with the artistic production of Agostino Tilotta. This was released under the local label "Arsonica" in 2004. "Giovanni Violin" listened to the album, he thought it was cool and joined Mashrooms. And so they were 5 again and moved to Firenze with an old van. 2005 After touring over Italy and Germany, they moved into the Red House Recordings Studio for their second album "The Ginko" that was recorded by David Lenci, mixed by John Congleton and released in 2006 with the "Zahr Records" stamp on it. Then in the middle of a national tour "Andrea Drums" couldn't get back on the van for the last 5 dates. Panic. "Pirlo Drums" did it in place of Andrea. The tour was over and so was Mashrooms. That was the end of 2007. "Stefano Guitar" graduated and left for NYC. 2008 Everyone was relieved of all the sins! Mashrooms started over again with "Pirlo Drums". After 2 years being locked in a dump farmstead the 5 fellas suddenly found themselves again at the Red House Recordings Studio in Senigallia with their top friend Sacha Tilotta to record their third, "S/T" album. Over the past years they toured all over the country as well as outside. Among the others they have made friends with Uzeda, Bellini, Paper Chase, Three Second Kiss, One Dimensional Man, Suzanne'Silver, Theramin, Jasminshock, Deltahead, Tellaro and many others. www.mashrooms.net
