Low Key Sounds

LowKey was formed in 2014 with Beto on bass and vocals, Dave Watson on drums and percussion, Martin on acoustic guitar and vocals and, as a special guest, Dave Kocbus on trumpet.

In essence, LowKey is an acoustic power trio, with music driven by a high energy and groovy spirit.

LowKey brings a fusion of different music styles including reggae, rock, funk, and blues. The band members are from Argentina and from Detroit. Since it’s formation, LowKey has been playing at Cathay House, Cadiex Cafe, Nancy Whisky and other local venues.

Dave Watson is a very popular Detroit drummer/percussionist who has played with lots of known singers and bands in the Southeast Michigan area. His percussionist-like style grooves with latin-based rhythms with an addition of classic rock beats in the mix.

Beto and Martin have been playing together for over 10 years in different bands of the Detroit area. Beto’s background in punk and reggae gives LowKey it’s unique punchy bass. Martin’s vocals and guitar skills bring some of the latin flavor pushing the band’s unique style.

LowKey members combine their background, musical styles, and taste in an unique and powerful blend of acoustic music.
