People are always talking about how music is a business. "The music industry." How if you’re a serious musician you have to: Play to your audience, Write what they want to hear, Be who THEY need. Network, know the right people, promote yourself, release recordings regularly, pay your dues, have the right stuff, advertise. But if that’s true, then we're not all that serious about music. Why be serious? When you treat music like a business product, it becomes a business product. We don’t like business products. We like art. There’s only one way the Festingos are ever getting famous.
