About Loris Orlando
Loris Orlando is an italian pianist , graduated at the Ecole Normale de Musique “A. Cortot” in Paris, and at the Conservatory "G. Puccini " in La Spezia. He studied with Marcella Crudeli, Elizbietha Glabowna and Lazar Berman at the European Academy of Erba, where he received his diploma.
He is a regular guest of some of the most important stages and festivals in Italy and in Europe, such Savona (Teatro Comunale G. Chiabrera), Genova (Amici del Nuovo Carlo Felice), Vasto, Morcone, Asti (Palazzo Ottolenghi), Alessandria, Asolo, Bergamo (Sala Piatti), Ragusa, Voghera, Cortona, Milano, Camogli, Siena, Torino, Roma (Chiostro del Bramante, Sala Baldini, Show-room Ciampi, Palazzo Chigi di Ariccia), Menton (Palais Carnoles), Paris (Salle Cortot), Aix en Provence, Bacau, Bucarest, Ploiesti , Heidelberg, Berlin, Zurig, Geneve, London.
He has also been soloist with orchestras, including the Philharmonic “Mihail Jora” in Bacau, Philarmonic “P. Costantinescu” in Ploiesti, Radio Philarmonic in Bucarest, collaborating with conductors such Leonardo Quadrini, Ovidium Balan, Radu Postavaru, Rumon Gamba.
He regularly plays with the flautist Laura Guatti, while at the collaborations with the violoncellist Marco Ferrari and the violinist Carlo Bellora, he recently added the duo with the saxofonist Roberto Stuffo.
The discography includes two CDs,published by the labels Musica Aurea and InmostLight
