Liberty Square

Liberty Square is a Persian (Iranian) Alternative Rock band formed in 2011 in Tehran. Sepehr (Guitar) and Farzan (Guitar) were keen to form a band and decided to call Milad (Bass, Vocals) in February of 2011. The band worked tirelessly against the ever present financial and economic obstacles before them, with Sam joining them (Keyboard), to finish recording their first EP in October 2012. The album released in December 2012, collaborating Pejhan (Artworks) and Haleh (Backing Vocals). Milad left the band a little after the release of the EP. Shortly after Milad's departure, Milad Mardakheh from another fellow band "Achromatic" joined Liberty Sq. on vocals for the second album. Then with Mehran and Ali joining the band on bass and drums, the band started recording their second album, in summer 2013. The lyrics reflect the crew’s perspective and lifestyle in Iran, partially fueled by their many environmental limitations, and the music is inspired by a goth and classical ambiance and late 70s/90s rock bands.
