About Legions

Formed in the late months of 2010 Legions was sure to be a heavy hitter. Founded by Mark Campbell (ex In Dying Arms, Your Nightmare Awaits) and Randy Snyder the project started with one thing and one thing only in mind, To bring something fresh and visciously heavy to angrily stir the stagnant waters of our hometown scene of Lancaster, PA where nothing but "positive message" and "faith-based" metalcore bands are the nitch+. Legions added Bryan Staley, Alex Pitsinelis, and Christopher Swade (ex Murder in Greenwich, Ventriloquist) to complete the line up. Within weeks of establishing a full line up Legions tracked their first song, Solidified a full set, Was printing a merch line and was hitting stages in the tri-state area hard and heavy. The response they had was incredible and gave them a very busy first year playing over 100 shows regionally, Recording a full-length album and gaining momentum with every step they took. They have now played in the range of 200 shows spanning the north east including short tours, Dates on Mayhem fest, All-Stars tour, Launch Music Conference and have been invited to share multiple stages with countless national acts. Their message is blunt, Angry and at times downright negative. They speak out against a lying, Corrupt, Tyrannical government spreading disease and lies to an already sick and dying world. They attack religon and churches with an unrelenting hatred, and preach those who follow them to abort, Think freely and live indepently. Live performances are filed with energy and so often the same energy shared with the crowd, You can understand the message as it is delivered skillfully and appropriatly to crowds. Legions is not a band that will play a full set without ever speaking the message of why they are there, They play for the love of heavy music and the bigger point of delivering a message that may help someone think more clear in this confused world. March 2013 Christopher Swade has since left the band to focus more on career and family geared life, But the group has been steady working on new material, New merch, and looking to hit the studio to start tracking new songs for the next album by late spring. They also have promising new members in the mix to bring even heavier assests to the table, Shaping 2013 up to be a busy year for them. Be on the look out for new songs played at shows, Updates on writing and recording and some time spent touring this summer. The debut album "Wasteland" is now available via iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/wasteland/id490845486 get it now and share us with your friends \m/
