Lauren April

Lauren April is a 22 year old country pop singer-songwriter from Nottingham, UK. Having always had a passion for music, she was introduced to country music at a young age. She loved the storytelling aspect behind the songs; one of the main things that influenced her to start songwriting. She often describes writing as a form of escape, and it allows her to speak freely about things that matter most to her.
As she got older, she began experiencing different genres of music, but it was her love for country music that made her realise this was exactly where her music fit.
The release of her 4 track EP 'This is my Life' in 2014, brought airplay from local radio stations such as BBC Introducing and community stations, but it was her debut single 'Picture on the Wall' which propelled her into the UK country scene. It received a very positive response from Radio stations around the UK, including: Mark Forrest's BBC Radio show and many country stations including UK country radio, Chris Country Radio and CMR Nashville.
