KV

KV was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 9, he began to write his own music. Inspired by his older cousin, he wrote reggae lyrics; despite his love for rap. At the time, No one knew about his ability to rap because he was shy. Upon attending Medgar Evers College Preparatory School, KV decided to publicize his talent. In his senior year, his English teacher assigned projects that consisted of the students showcasing their talents. KV rapped and received a numerous amount of positive feed back. Although influenced by alot of mainstream artist, he is often compared to Eminem, Big Sean, and Kendrick. KV’s various styles include: deep lyricism, wordplay and fast flows. He also loves to freestyle, taking pride on free styling on a road trip to Canada from New York, with his cousin. When KV posted his “Off the top” freestyle to “Special delivery/Green Ranger” in February 2014, many people were in disbelief/impressed that it was a freestyle. He then went on to releasing his song “Can’t Stop Me” featuring Beezy Leader that was featured on HotNewHipHop.com’s “Heatseekers”. They labeled him as the indie equivalent to Kendrick Lamar, stating, “he’s that good.” KV hopes to not only make it into the industry, but to impact it. To become one of the best, a legend.
