Knuckle Puck Time

Knuckle Puck Time is a rock band from Delran, NJ, combining the talents and tastes of its four multi-instrumental members to create a diverse sound ranging from 90s radio pop-rock to banjo-infused folk, to guitar-driven indie rock, and everything in-between. Initially formed in December of 2011 by guitarist/singer Xavier Baptista (formerly of beloved local ska band, Dr. Goodspeed & The Dialtones) and drummer Joshua Holland (formerly of Steadfast & Tenfold and The Fahrenheit Atlantic) after they were brought into contact by a mutual friend at a now-defunct video rental store, the band added bassist Troy Jurimas (former Dr. Goodspeed trombonist). Together, the trio had found the exact musical outlet they had sought in the years following the demises of their former bands and took the moniker “Knuckle Puck Time” from the famous line in the movie “D2: The Mighty Ducks.” The band then added lead guitarist Matthew Jungblut and began their adventure in the Philadelphia/South Jersey music scene, showcasing Xavier and Josh’s respective original songs alongside many popular covers. They have since played over 30 shows for their devoted group of fans at venues such as The Legendary Dobbs, The North Star Bar, Connie’s Ric Rac, The M Room, The Voltage Lounge, Rutgers-Camden, TCNJ, and many more, supplementing their live shows with the release of their debut EP, “The KPT EP,” in February of 2013. The band has been hard at work polishing new material and booking shows at new venues in hopes of making 2014 their biggest year yet. A rock band from Delran, NJ that shredded from 2011 to 2015.
