About Kim Reteguiz and the Black Cat Bones

While taking the stage as the George’s Music Featured artist for the 2013 23rd Annual Springing the Blues Festival in Jacksonville Beach, FL, word spread over the large crowd that the BCB’s were THE band to check out because they had something different to offer loyal Blues fans who came every year to the historic festival. Fusion or Hybrid Blues they were calling it. With a mix of roots, Latin and Funk Infusion, soulful vocals with bit of the swamp sound known in the tropic state of Florida, you can hear the group’s diversity through their high energy music. Their stories are true and their sound is something new…but it’s still the Blues.

Kim Reteguiz and the Black Cat Bones has played for audiences of up to 25,000 people and have headlined festivals with up to 250,000 attendees! They have shared the stage with the Lee Boys, Alexis P. Suter, the late Michael Burkes, Trampled Underfoot, Victor Wainwright and the Wildroots and many more.

Inked onto their resumes are major shows such as the House of Blues, Orlando, 2013 featured Artist for the Springing the Blues Festival in Jacksonville, FL, Headliners for the 2013 1st annual Las Olas Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 2012 Opening Act for day two of the 22nd annual Springing the Blues Festival, Headlining act for the Uptown Altamonte Springs Winestock 2012, 2011 and 12 Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Savannah and Tampa, Opening act for Trampled Underfoot and much more. They are a favorite on Jacksonville's 89.9 FM's Blues Horizons and String Theory and are featured for a third time on CW 17's Your Jax Music. They are a consistent sound from the big oaks of Southern Georgia to the aqua waters of the Keys in Florida. Currently the BCB's are in the studio recording their 2nd CD.
