Johnny Neri Band

Starting at the age of five, Johnny was given his first drum set at Christmas. His oldest brother gave him a harmonica at the age of eleven. Johnny started performing at churches around the Santa Clara Valley in 1981 at the age of sixteen. On Christmas Days the church would be filled with a thousand people. Two years later he picked up acoustic guitar and he knew right then and there that entertaining people was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. That same year he began learning to play piano. After three years studying and practicing, Johnny started performing professionally in 1987 at local coffee shops and private parties. In 1996 he began performing weekly in the South Bay clubs with a three piece band as well as continuing his solo career.In 2009, after a seven year sabbatical Johnny decided to start playing again realizing that people needed music now more than ever. Johnny decided to put together The Johnny Neri Band once again.They perform weekly at public venues and private functions all over the Santa Clara Valley. The Johnny Neri Band pays tribute to the greatest rock and roll bands ever. They play vintage, classic, popular hits from many decades. They have an extensive song list.
