About Johnny Houx
The vegan son of a cowboy, Johnny Houx grew up in the mountains of California's Lost Coast, immersed in the music of Smashing Pumpkins and fantasy film scores. He drifted to New York City in 2007 to play folk music and released several recordings while touring the western world. In 2013 he moved back to California to train in taijiquan in a more natural environment, and co-opened Mind's Eye Coffee Lounge in 2015. He is currently working on new songs from several years of dreams.
