Joey Scott

Joey Scott was born in Northridge California and started playing drums at a very young age and went on to study with world renowned drummers Gregg Bissonette (Toto, Santana, Ringo Starr) and Carmine Appice (Rod Steward, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake). After high school he started an original band that eventually became Lizzy Borden. The band has toured internationally, recorded 12 records, and has had their videos played on MTV. Joey has taken an active role in the producing, engineering, arranging and songwriting for the band. Joey also plays with the band Starwood, which he says embodies all the influences that he had while growing up and hanging out at the Starwood club in Hollywood California. Joey has released two instructional DVD’s Yoga for Drummers and Drumming from the Heart. Besides being a full time musician, Joey is also a father and family man. Joey lends his time and name to charities whenever possible. He supports the Red Cross, (RED), Children of the night, St. Jude's, Chin Rescue, USO many other charities and organizations. Joey is also a screen writer, music producer and DJ. Joey proudly endorses Peace Drums, Vic Firth sticks, Sabian cymbals, and Danmar Beater pads exclusively.
