Joe Roberts

I used to drive Joe around in my taxi when he lived in Manchester, He was born down south. He used to like listening to the music I played while driving, I remember he had never heard of Millie Jackson but he loved her record called "shit on your finger" he laughed his head off. Joe is a bit of a hippy but he had the voice of a soul singer. When he first played his tunes to me I thought he was fantastic, I am very suprised that he is not a major star in this country. He plays multiple instruments and he had so many original tunes in his head. I would like to remind him that I still have the demo tape he gave me with the message that I can sell them when he gets famous. I lost touch with Joe when I changed jobs but I have never forgotten what that he was and is a very warm and friendly person.
