Jizza Raw

Jizza Raw was born into a life of hip-hop and lyricism, in an ironic start to life, his father played The Notorious B.I.G.’s debut album Ready to Die as the soundtrack to his birth. He was exposed to classic hip hop, soul, r&b, and jazz early in life. He would eventually go on to immerse himself in the world of hip-hop, becoming impressed by acts like Jay Z, No Limit, and Kanye West, before beginning to experiment with making music for himself.

In 2012, he began collaborating with Komorebi who produced one of his most notable singles, “3 Pack”.

He formed the artist collective, WithTheBeads with music artists WillWithTheBeads, Timi Turnup, and Ben Kahn.

Following the release of “3 Pack”, he dropped the fan favorite “Mango Lilies” featuring WillWithBeads on Soundcloud. A year later, Jizza Raw premiered a visual to accompany the re-release of the single on all streaming platforms.

He released his first official EP, Yesterday’s Painting on his birthday, March 20, 2017, a 6-track EP executive produced by Komorebi.
