About Jealousy Curve

Spawned by both a shared musical vision and the need to resolve the inner conflicts of its members, Jealousy Curve is the result of four close friends struggling to find their way through the confusion of life. Originally formed as the songwriting and recording brainchild of high school friends Steven LaFashia (guitar, keys) and Michael Leavy (lead vocals, guitar), Jealousy Curve quickly found its voice in the contributions of Michael O'Brien and Shane Rozum (bass and drums, respectively), playing its first full band show to a capacity crowd on May 30, 2003 in Philadelphia, quickly garnering a local buzz and dedicated fan base. Building upon their growing following in 2004 with relentless local and regional shows, the band was simultaneously recording its work in its basement studio. January of 2005 saw the release of the band's debut full-length album, Life as an Addict. Completely self-produced, recorded and mixed against all odds, LAAA's 10 tracks are a testament to the band's diehard, DIY attitude and is enjoying both domestic and international sales and exposure, in addition to regional FM attention, with great support from hometown stations 93.3 WMMR and 100.3 WPLY. Two of the album's tracks, "The World is You" and "Appreciated", were also licensed for use and included in the soundtrack to the direct to DVD Cruel Intentions 3 in May 2004 on Sony/Tristar, garnering legions of loyal fans who were instrumental in bolstering LAAA's internet pre sale totals in the 3 months preceding its 1/25/05 release. Maintaining a rigorous live performance schedule, Jealousy Curve is fortunate to receive constant invitations for performances at the region's best venues, having built strong relationships with both talent buyers and other touring bands. The band continues to write new material and perform constantly. In a world where many bands struggle to top their bankrolls, Jealousy Curve continuously struggles to top its expectations of itself.
