For want of a better term I'm an Alt-Folk artist with a bit of Singer/Songwriter blended in. Sounds I can make with an acoustic guitar and strong vocals are at the core of what I do but the sound I try to create is to blend big vocals with big melodic, aggressive finger style guitar, bound within simple & beautiful songs. I like to explore juxtaposition in my work musically and lyrically. I'm a big believer that live performance should not be a carbon copy of recordings. Before turning to the folk, acoustic music and world music, I was a front man in a Thrash Metal band. I left that band and essentially quit music, until I saw Thomas Leeb play and epiphany hit! So I embarked on my current incarnation. I've been touring quite a bit since 2008 in various incarnations but only the last two years as a solo acoustic bloke. Singer/songwriter.
