Discovering a singer songwriter with James Broughton's talent is always exciting. ​ One of the hardest working undiscovered Singer-songwriters of his generation, on the road to now James has appeared live on local and national Radio. He has completed a European tour and performed at many major festivals in various guises to thousands of people across the UK over an 11 year career. James's songwriting and live performance effortlessly speak to and of the spiritual essence of today while conjuring up the memories of great music from the 60s and 70s. James Broughton has recorded or played with the likes of Robbie McIntosh (Pretenders, Paul McCartney, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Tom Jones), GusRobinson (Razorlight), Pete Doherty (Babyshambles), Gilles Petterson and The Egg to name a few. James has recorded his Debute Solo Album "Love Riot” Featuring Robbie Macintosh, Gus Robinson and Steve Smith. Engineered by Peter Junge, recorded at Chapel studios. "LoveRiot" is a listening experience that swims through zeitgeist with the grace that few other artist can deliver. His song writing touches the listener with honesty and natural charm. Prior to recording "Love Riot" 2015 saw James reaching number six in the iTunes video chart with a self funded charity single called "I Say Save Orangutans”. Released in association with charity organisation Monkey World and all profits going towards conservation of orangutan habitat effected by illegal logging and palm oil production. ​ This story made national news with BBC south today and BBC Solent. BANDS on the road to now James and The Peach ​ (2012 to 2013) Bands story cut short due to the tragic death of co-founder and Talented singer-songwriter Zara Sophia Broughton, sister to James. Home bookings at The Finsbury, including organised gigs. Single release. ​ Fire Farm (2008-2011) Writer and producer with Firefarm Albums performing Stadium Shows in Spain and many underground London Rave venues. ​ ​ OUT NOW "This is a man blessed with a Beautiful voice saturated in world-weary tone and timbre, a pleasure to listen to" BBC introducings Linda Serk. ​Aragatang (2005-2008) Played Euro Tour and London gigs working with Brenda Brooker recorded a demo that led to a deal tabled by EMI in late 2007. EMI was sold later that year. Aragatand played to 15,000 people for 2CR FM (solo). ​ The Viff (2000-2005) Gained Radio play on 2CR FM, Wessex FM, Other local Radio, demo albums recorded and EP's released. Local press, Battle of the bands winner with 2CRfm.
