About JSPH

Featured on Beats1 Radio, NPR Music's Heavy Rotation and BBC Radio1, JSPH is a progressive soul artist making waves in the industry. Nominated as Cincinnati's Artist of the Year, JSPH's single "Breathe" was featured in Pharrell's OTHERtone playlist. His singles have landed on Spotify's Weekly Buzz and New Discovery Playlists leading him to reach over 1 million streams independently. NPR Music compared JSPH to, "D'Angelo, Frank Ocean and James Blake, with an accessibility that [they] think will make him a hit with both critics and casual listeners." - 10 Songs Public Radio Can't Stop Playing JSPH grew up in Northern Kentucky and recalls an inevitable passion to write and sing. At a young age he discovered a love for artists ranging from Boys II Men, Prince and Sam Cooke. He would copy down the lyrics of songs as a child, study them, then perform them in front of family and classmates. While pursuing a law degree, he would sneak into the fine arts library and recalls writing lyrics in his casebooks during class. Instead of raising his voice as an advocate in the courtroom after law school, JSPH decided to continue crafting his voice into a unique musical sound on the stage. "If you enjoy the soulful, progressive R&B of artists like Gallant, R.LUM.R, and Daniel Caesar, then JSPH may just become your next obsession." - Ones To Watch Official Facebook page for JSPH
