JOW

Musician, Producer and DJ, JOW started in the music business at the age of 14, as the bass player for the pop rock band STA. Soon his passion for music grew and together with his ambition to evolve as a musician, he learned how to play the guitar, drums and piano. His love for the electronic scene came right after the breakdown of STA in 2009 as while searching for that special genre to substitute his lost love for rock, he received an invitation from the DJ Rafael Nazareth to play drums alongside him at Ministry of Sound at the famous Brazilian venue Vivo Rio, soon after that he was called again to play at the Favela Chic event and also at Winter Club (one of the last events hosted at the legendary Brazilian show house, Scala). With that, he found a genre where every different rhythm could fit into and it's with this proposition that he embarks in this musical experience, promising to mix all the styles of electronic music with other genres such as rock, pop, country, metal, ska and many more. All this while performing on stage with live instruments. Currently he is the resident for the famous Brazilian club BOOX which is famous for hosting various international DJ's and acts, such names includes: Carl Cox, EDX, Moony, Shawnee Taylor, Sebastien Drums, Ian Carey, Thomas Gold and many more. Every week JOW shares the stage with a different DJ, having already played with big names of the Brazilian scene, these include: Ferris, Rafael Nazareth (Naza Brothers), Thascya Spirandelli (Female Angels), Marcelo CIC (Ask 2 Quit), Pic Schmitz, Thiago Mansur and others. More recently JOW joined Empound, a project which combines JOW's instruments with DJ Cheido's amazing sets. Together they have been responsible for many bootlegs, such as Calling for the Levels and What are you Waiting for to Save the Island? which on its first day at the website SoundCloud, received more than 1000 plays. ------------ Produtor, músico e DJ, Jow começou no mundo da música com a idade de 14 anos, como baixista da banda de pop rock STA. Logo, sua paixão pela música cresceu e junto com sua ambição de evoluir como músico, ele aprendeu a tocar guitarra, bateria e piano. Seu amor pela cena eletrônica veio logo após o colapso da STA em 2009, ao procurar por um gênero especial para substituir o seu amor perdido pelo rock, ele recebeu um convite do DJ Rafael Nazareth para tocar bateria acompanhando ele no Ministry of Sound no famoso Vivo Rio, logo depois foi chamado novamente para tocar nos eventos Favela Chic e Winter Club (um dos últimos eventos hospedados na casa de show lendária brasileira, Scala). Com isso, ele encontrou um gênero onde cada ritmo diferente poderia caber e com esta proposta que ele embarca nesta experiência musical, prometendo misturar todos os estilos de música eletrônica com outros gêneros, como o rock, pop, country, metal, ska e muitos mais. Sempre ao vivo tocando algum instrumento. Atualmente ele é o residente para a boate Boox, que é famosa por sediar vários DJ e atrações internacionais, tais nomes incluem: Carl Cox, EDX, Moony, Shawnee Taylor, Sebastien Drums, Ian Carey, Thomas Gold e muitos mais. Toda semana Jow divide o palco com um DJ diferente, já tendo tocado com grandes nomes da cena brasileira, como: Ferris, Rafael Nazareth (Naza Brothers), Thascya Spirandelli (Female Angels), Marcelo CIC (Ask 2 Quit), Pic Schmitz, Thiago Mansur e outros. Mais recentemente juntou-se ao Empound, um projeto que combina os instrumentos de Jow com os incríveis sets do DJ Cheido. Juntos, eles têm sido responsáveis por muitos bootlegs, como Calling for the Levels e What are you Waiting for to save the Island? que em seu primeiro dia no site SoundCloud, recebeu mais de 1000 acessos.
