IONIO was born in Florence in March 2011 and is formed by Andrea D'Agata (drums) and Fabio Savino (Guitar) both grew up in the atmosphere of the Ionian Sea and the result is a tide of ferocious music imbued with deep atmospheres. In January 2013, released "Talassocrazia", recorded in Scandicci (FI) by David Nocentini (Fangs Of The Molossus) and mixed and mastered by Carlo Barbagallo (Noja Recordings) at Blue Records Studio in Turin, out for independent labels HysM? Independent Music Catalogue, MusicaPerOrganiCaldi and Lemming Records, accompanied by a tour that touched different parts of Italy, Germany, Austria and France, and by great reviews on specialized webzine (thewhitesurfers, sons of files, Kathodik, acidiviola). In 2014 IONIO joined Giuseppe Calvano on bass and synth. Nel gennaio 2013 è uscito "Talassocrazia", registrato a Scandicci (FI) di Davide Nocentini (Fangs Of The Molossus) e mixato e masterizzato da Carlo Barbagallo ( Noja Recordings) al Blue Records Studio a Torino per le etichette indipendenti HysM? Independent Music Catalogue, Musica Per Organi Caldi e Lemming Records, accompagnato da un tour che ha toccato diverse parti di Italia, Germania, Austria e Francia, e da ottime recensioni su webzine specializzate (thewhitesurfers, figli di file, Kathodik, acidiviola). Nel 2014 si è unito a noi Giuseppe Calvano al basso e ai synth. Attualmente stiamo lavorando al nostro secondo album.
