About Imelda Gabs
Imelda Gabs explores the limits of Pop music.
The Swiss based songwriter, pianist and singer marks her solo debut with her two self-produced singles and music videos Fallen Angel and Alter Ego. These two first releases set the tone, brilliantly infusing her dark pop and alternative sound with cinematic visuals.
Her classical/jazz upbringing and her passion for pop and electro are both present in her music, reflecting the colourful mix of genres she grew up with, constantly looking for the edge.
She started performing at 14 with a first main live performance at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. A few years later she got on the main stage of the Montreux Jazz Festival, opening for Lianne La Havas and The Roots. She has since been an active performer and songwriter/producer, and her debut album is on the way.
