About Igor Krutogolov 作曲家

Igor Krutogolov is an Israeli composer, multi-instrumentalist , who belongs to new generation of young Israeli artists, composers and performers. His style of music composing is highly-strung, dramatic, lyrical, serious, and ironic into the bargain. Igors natural, unique and unpredictable talent is best revealed in his music, which is rampant, vivid and assertive and has different approaches, including modern composition, classical music, avant-garde stuff, Jewish traditional music, rock and jazz. Krutogolov is also a master of vital, existential and artistic gesture. This is substantiated by his social and artistic orientation: he introduces the topic issues and ideas of his interests in the mythical and poetic content of his music. Igor Krutogolov was born in 1976 in the former USSR Republic of Uzbekistan in musicians family. He never attended professional musical studies, but studied at Art School for a short period of time. At age of 13 he started to compose music, while using his own system of signs to write it down. He will study music scores much later At the same time he starts playing drums & bass in different rock bands. Krutologovs first solo music efforts dated from the 1997, when he starts to collaborate with Israeli folk-ambient artist and composer Vadim Gusis, better known as Chaos As Shelter. Since 1999 he starts to collaborate/perform/record with local Israeli avant-garde experimental music artists. In 2002 Krutogolov forms modern avant-klezmer-jazz-rock-trio Kruzenshtern & Parohod and starts to write music for this band, where he also acts as bass player and singer. Kruzenshtern & Parohod recorded 3 albums up-today and working on the next one currently. The band successfully toured in Europe number of times and performed at different international festivals. In 2003 Krutogolov started to create music for the cinema and composed the soundtrack for the Wardrobe, animation movie by Japanese directors Yamamoto Hiromi & Takayuri Iwasawa. In 2004 Krutogolov has founded a toy orchestra - the band that plays real music using toy instruments only. The orchestra has released the debut CD Children 4 Muzik and performed live in different places in Israel, as well as at German and Israeli TV shows. Currently Krutogolov is working on the music for the toy orchestra 2nd and 3rd releases one with new original material, and another one with cover version of Consume:Red piece by Ground Zero/Otomo Yoshihide. From 2005 Krutogolov starts writing music for theatre. Up to date he wrote music for 3 different theatrical performances, and currently working on another one. Another recent work completed by Kurtogolov is music for poems of Russian writer Daniel Kharms. Apart from participation in many musical project, Krutogolov has released his solo works: noise-oriented Muzika Elektronika, modern classical White, avant-garde Wardrobe, mentioned above, and avant-rockish Melekh and Lumberjack Blues. As a composer Igor also participates in dozen of International musical collaborations and joint projects. He has composed music for musical collaboration with Vialka band (France), iDMG (Ukraine), Mitch & Mitch (Poland) Krutogolov is also known in Israel as unique stage performer. During years 2004-2007 he performed, along with other local musicians, with Tatsuya Yoshida (Japan), Chris Cutler (UK), Assif Tsahar, Kawabata Makoto (Japan), Daevid Allen (Australia), Vladimir Volkov (Russia) and many others. Besides his music activities, Krutogolov also works on drawings, paintings, book illustrations and music discs cover arts he has created drawings, cover art and design for more then 30 music albums.
