IV4

IV4 is a new 4 piece alternative rock band from Pretoria and the Converse Get Out Of The Garage 2015 winners. Since March 2015, these 4 young talented guys have been putting together a new take on alternative music - inspired by artists such as Coldplay, the 1975 & John Mayer - exploring various genres and laced with their catchy melodies and exciting guitar lines.
The band features Van Wyk on Guitar and vocals, Ammiel on Guitar, Tish on Bass and Marnus on drums.
After an electrifying live performance to win the Get Out Of The Garage competition, the 2015 winners travelled to the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg, New York where they worked with renowned producer Jason Finkel on their song “Let it Out”. They have since worked extensively alongside Grammy award-winning producer Darryl Torr at Openroom Productions in Johannesburg, on their debut self-titled EP - IV4. No strangers to the stage, the band has already shared the stage with household names like Gangs of Ballet, Desmond & The Tutus, Crash Car Burn, Rubber Duc, PH Fat to name but a few. Inspired and energised, IV4 is set out to turn more than just a few heads.
