I, Escape

I Escape are a five-piece melodic hardcore band from Sydney, Australia. Since formation in 2010, the band has created and played music with intent to influence listeners on open-mindness, acceptance and self control. Since taking the stage in 2010, their local popularity steadily grew, playing shows whenever they could and being known for putting on a tight performance, before the end of the year, the band embarked their first national tour. In October 2010, I Escape released their debut seven-track EP, "Closure”, which was recorded with Mitta Norath at his home studio in Newcastle, Australia. The response was overwhelming in their local scene, helping the band secure a solid fan base at their local shows. The EP received many positive reviews in magazines and blogs all over the world, also resulting in a distribution deal with STM Records in Japan. The band continued to tour regional areas and cities in Australia for the next year, snapping up local and International supports. In late 2011 the band returned to the studios with producer Mitta Norath in Newcastle, to track their follow up release "Foundations". Going in a slightly different musical direction, the band hopes that fans will be accepting of the progress made with the music, and will embrace the it around Australia and the world.
