Hungry Hands

Hungry Hands is a band of the rock variety. Formed in Brooklyn in 2009 and led by JJ Byars, they are known for their high energy live shows and unusual avant approaches to songwriting and arranging. All members are powerful songwriters and performers in other projects in and outside of NYC, which adds to the richness in each members individual style and the whole depth of the vibe they create together onstage. The songs, though written by JJ Byars, tend to feature everyone in the band, and also can range from concise rock packages to longer more exploratory, lush pieces. The band has been likened to the sounds of Radiohead (Bends era), Foo Fighters, Local Natives, Wilco, Grizzly Bear, Elliot Smith, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and more. But they have a unique sound all there own.
