About Hidrogenesse

Hidrogenesse are a Barcelona-based pop band formed by Carlos Ballesteros (vocals) and Genís Segarra (keyboard). They've been together since 1997, though their first reference, the single Así se baila el siglo XX, was launched in 2000.
They published the Eres PC, eres Mac EP in 2001. This EP clearly shows their particular humor, and includes a cover of Technical (you're so), a song by The Magnetic Fields, one of the bands they love the most.
The following year they launched their first album, Gimnàstica passiva, formed by ten songs talking about everything from Góngora to Kurt Cobain, The Smiths, merry-go-rounds and much more.
In 2007 they published a new album, Animalitos, mostly about animals, with glam rock influences, dirty guitar playing, analog synths and a widespread use of a saxophone.
