Hana Malhas

Hana Malhas is a storyteller with a voice that envelops you in nostalgia and intensity. The Jordanian performing singer-songwriter has teamed up with producer Khaled Nimry to release new material for 2018: an album that showcases a more electro-pop sound for Hana. Her first release off the upcoming album is the single ‘Nasi’, and was featured in Universal MENA’s complication “Now: Best of Indie Arabia Volume II”. 'Nasi' is also the first song she has written in Arabic. In 2012, her EP release ‘Hana Malhas & The Overthinkers’ featured the song “How We Love”, nominated for the 12th annual Independent Music Award in the Folk/Singer-songwriter Song Category. Hana’s past performances include a range of venues, from intimate listening rooms to festivals and outdoor stages, in the Middle East and the US, including: headlining shows at the The Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan; The Other Side in Dubai; the Citadel and Jerash in Jordan; Sakia stage in Cairo, and an opening set in Istanbul.
