Gronibard

Gronibard is a stupid and gay grindcore / goregrind band from Northern France.Having started in the late nineties ('98), the band released some (noise) demos before really focusing on writing "songs" (or at least some suites of noises that could make a bit more sense) with some of the most stupid titles ever (sadly, in French...).

Once the line-up got (quite) stable with Anal Capone (vocals), Necronembourg (guitars & vocals) and Albatard (bass), they recorded their debut split-CD with now-defunct Meat Paunch Mafia, Splatter!!!, Running Guts and Dogmatic State ('99).

Then Bones Brigade Records offered them to release their debut full-length album if they managed to come with even stupider songs (but stronger, musically-wise). The whole thing was recorded in 2001 (with new member Gilles Delecroix aka Godemichel) as the "s/t" album that gained them praise and rave from all over the worldwide grind scene.

A series of gigs all over europe (France, Belgium, Netherland, Czech Rep.) will last for quite two years upon the album's release after which the band will enter the studio once more (with the addition of P'tite Bite on guitars) to record some tunes for various splits they've been offered, among which one with legends Exit-13.

Sadly, the Exit-13 part was totaly lost by the band before it made it to the pressing plant. So Gronibard released a split CD with Gorerotted and Gruesome Stuff Relish and, with the planned Exit-13 / Gronibard material accompanied with a stupid acoustic session, an EP titled "Satanic Tuning Club" through Bones Brigade Records ('04).

Then new gigs followed, the G-team even played a one-off date in the USA (Maryland Deathfest) and a "micro-tour" in England and started writing some new material. But seven years were already gone since the release of the debut album and the recording session of their brand new effort, "We are French, fukk you" took place only on July of 2007.

Now, the so much anticipated second album is (quite) ready and some split releases are planned too (among which one with Anal Penetration and one with Urine Festival, still through Bones Brigade Records).

- They usually are naked in concert.
- Albatard has played in Meat Paunch Mafia, Frankensperm, Whoretorn and Splatter!!! and still handles the bass in Warscars
- Anal Capone has played in Frankensperm
- Necronembourg has played in Meat Paunch Mafia, Frankensperm and Splatter!!!. He also handled the vocals and guitars duty in Warscars.
- P'tite Bite played in Assplosion and handles the guitars in Sylvester Staline and Warscars.
- Godemichel (aka Gilles Delecroix) played in numerous bands, among which Aborted and Belenos. He's still handling the drums for Boys1stTime and Warscars.
