About Gisela
There are two artists with the name Gisela.
The first one
Gisela (Gisela Lladó Canovas) was born on January 1st, 1979. She became famous as a contestant in a musical reality called Operacion Triunfo, in 2001. She was studying journalism before entering, but she left it because music had always been her passion and that was her opportunity. She's officially a TV produced, as she got an A when she studied it, but she never got to work on that. She's released three albums so far: Parte De Mí (2002) (which was re-released in 2003 with a new song and two remixes), Más Allá (2003) and Ni Te Lo Imaginas (2006) (digi-pack including a DVD). On December 4th 2006 she has re-released her latest album, Ni Te Lo Imaginas, with a new song, the precious ballad called Viviré En Tus Sueños (soundtrack of a movie called "Pérez, el ratoncito de tus sueños") and its video.
She's also worked in television, radio, as a model, she's been extremely successful in musical theatre plays (being year and a half in El Diluvio Que Viene, playing Wendy in Peter Pan, Boscos Endins... she's currently playing Aloma in Barcelona), she's been Barbie's voice in Spain... She's one of the most complete artists you can find in Spain, and I dare to say worldwide.
She's worked in lots of soundtracks for Disney (Peter Pan II, The Beaty and the Beast, Enchanted and Kim Possible) and Filmax (with Pérez, as quoted above, and Pérez II -with the song Sueños Mágicos), making her gain children's affection.
In February 2003 she won Viña del Mar, being the only singer in the history to win the two awards of the Festival: Best song and Best performer. She also recieved the Costa del Mar award on 2003 for her career and the DEIA -the Semana Grande de Bilbao award- for the Most Popular Actress in theatre, an award given by its public.
She has represented Andorra at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 (Semi-Final 1). Unfortunately, her song Casanova couldn't make it to the final.
