Genesis Lorraine

After struggling through an orphaned childhood, I overcame homelessness and fought to complete my college training as a classical singer. The experiences left me with the strong belief that 'where there's a will, there's a way.' In order to overcome severe obstacles, I learned to think creatively but also to never take no for an answer. Often accused of being 'starry eyed,' I reached for the best schools and for my ideal career. I do not compromise on the quality of my ambitions, and so I do not compromise on the creation of my music. After putting myself through one of the most prestigious schools in my state, and acquiring a double degree, I partnered with seasoned players, all of whom in their way contributed to the invention of rock and roll and started to build my band. To our skin-tight rhythm crew, we added a sharp-edged 3-piece horn section and some sultry keys. We named the band 'Her 8-Track Mind' both because of our authentic sources of inspiration and because of my eclectic style! As a vocalist, pianist, and guitarist, I bring a dynamic 60's-inspired show. The band comes in arrangements as small as a trio the whole way up to an 8-piece monster crew! In October of 2016, we released our first full-length original album, self-titled 'Genesis Lorraine and Her 8-Track Mind', which features Woodstock-inspired sounds with a little funk mixed in. Comin' at ya with super-smooth, straight-up groove! GL8TM is a crew of funky gypsy's from Pennsylvania with a mission to revive the Woodstock movement.
