Fat Tom

Tomás Sousa Machado a.k.a Fat Tom is part of the upcoming generation of Portuguese DJs. The name Fat Tom came from the nickname given to Tomás when he was a child , his nickname was ‘Bucha’ which means Fat in Portuguese. Tomás started his career in late 2009 in a DJ Group with his friend Francisco Coutinho called What The FUNK?! . Their music and interaction with the crowd took the attention of many party producers around Lisbon specially the attention of his manager José Maria Santana Lopes, one of the most well known party producers in Lisbon . What The FUNK?! rocked many portuguese clubs until the Spring of 2011 when the two young DJs decided to follow they’re own paths . The project Fat Tom was brought into life and it was not difficult for Tomás to get back on track due to his famous DJing skills and electrifying music selection . Since the creation of this new project , Fat Tom has being spreading his magic all around Portugal and started his way into the world of Music Production , his first and most famous work was the Remix of the track ‘Hello’ by Martin Solveig , track that has been played from north to south of Portugal. All this early success only proves why he is one of the most promising DJs of his generation.
