Emory Lane

Emory Lane started as an idea several years back when Marc Shipley and Joe Greene met on a recording project for Marc’s band The Starseed Project. Marc and Joe envisioned a band blending acoustic and electric guitar inspired by the songs that we put on mixtapes for our girlfriends, the songs that helped us get through heartbreaks and hard times; the songs with which we sing along at the top of our lungs when we’re alone in the car. Joe later met drummer James Branham in the original band A Fall From Down, forming a solid rhythm section and lasting musical bond. James and Joe started to look for an outlet for their common music taste and artistic sensibilities at the same time that Marc was leaving The Starseed Project; the time had finally arrived to realize Marc and Joe’s original vision. Add in Freeway Music's Drew Medlin on lead guitars and Emory Lane was formed. As busy as Drew is in the music world, his fellow instructor/student Adam Haltiwanger has been know to grace the stage in his place from time to time. Bringing the sound of late 80's and 90's college rock back to life...in our own modern way.
