About Electric Horse

Featuring brothers Jason & Dane Brown (vocals & drums), Luke Attrill & Scott Jackman (guitars) & Cory Absell (bass) - Electric Horse have carved themselves a name as heavy hitters in the Aussie hard-rock scene. The band is fresh off releasing the stellar debut album ‘Venomous’ which was released in Feb 2013. The album follows the underground success of their 2010 EP Translations, which saw them tour with the likes of Karnivool, Shihad & Dead Letter Circus. They performed at the 2011 Gold Coast Big Day Out alongside bands such as Deftones, Ramstein & Iggy Pop and continued to tour Australia on their own headline dates. The majority of 2012 saw the band focus on writing and recording the debut album, quickly checking in to Loose Stones Studios on the Gold Coast to lay down drum tracks, then settling into the bands home studio to record the rest of the album. ‘The Horse’ has truly found their own sound on the new album and is all killer, no filler - a slab of infectious, hard hitting Rock & Roll songs set to put the band on the world’s musical map. The lead single from the album is ‘Roll Credits’, a hook-laden Rock song demonstrating the groups knack for writing a memorable tune. While the bands members are often remembered for their work in the heavier realm of music (Sunk Loto, Lump, King Mungi), ‘Venomous’ oozes Rock & Roll swagger & sounds like a band that is comfortable in their skin as a true Australian Rock Act. Driving drums, powerhouse bass & wailing guitars lay the foundation for vocalist Jason Brown to deliver the goods on ‘Venomous’, his melodies serving up more hooks than Rex Hunt’s tackle box ever did. This is 2013, and this album is pure Electric Horse. Turn up the volume, grab a drink and kick back and enjoy the Rock journey that is ‘Venomous’! “Not a dud track to be had, these guys are the new force in Aussie Rock - 9/10” - Zoo Weekly "Overall Electric Horse’s Venomous would be classed as the best debut hard rock album I’ve heard coming out of Australia for 2013 so far. Electric Horse maybe the silent giant Australian music needs, and may emerge to be the missing puzzle piece to fill an empty void that Silverchair had left. - 9/10” - Chaos Cartel TWITTER: @electrichorseau INSTAGRAM: @electrichorseofficial YOUTUBE: youtube.com/electrichorseau Debut Album featuring 'Roll Credits' & 'Black Snake' Out now in Stores & on iTunes. www.electrichorse.com.au
