Edu Cominato

Edu Cominato started playing drums at the young age of 6 years old, influenced by his father, professional drummer for several years. His first real gig as a professional drummer was in one of the most respected and influential bands from São Paulo, Brazil. In this band Edu shared the stage with experienced musicians and learned a lot. In 1999 Edu started the hard/heavy band Tempestt, along with Tempestt Edu recorded his first album and toured throughout the years in South America and Europe. Tempestt new album is on the making with release date still undefined. Throughout the years Edu have played and jammed with many artists like: Billy Sheehan (Mr.Big), Eric Martin (Mr.Big), Steve Augery (Journey), Joey Lynn Turner (Deep Purple), Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson), Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake), Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne) and many others... Edu worked as a sideman for a multi platinum pop act in Brazil called KLB and toured every single state of Brazil for 3 years. In 2009 Edu was invited by Jeff Scott Soto to join his solo band and tour all over Europe and then his international career has begun. After all these years touring the world with JSS, playing in big festivals and legendary venues the JSS Band became the band SOTO. Jeff has decided to make a new album as a band effort as he felt the chemestry with his current band. Edu had the honor of co-produce the album along with Jeff and Connor Engstrom (Trans-Siberian-Orchestra).
