About DON ANDRE

The latest breakout dancehall artiste from the United Kingdom goes by the name Don Andre. Carlos Robinson grew up in a humble home in the small district called Thirty-five Lane close to Waltham Park Road in the busy city of Kingston, Jamaica. Fate forever changed his destiny, as his mother, Arlene Bryan suddenly died 2 months after his birth. Don Andre’s Aunt, Gloria later took on the responsibility of raising him. During his teens, his strong passion for music was known in his household, as he would pen his first lyrics. “Auntie Gloria” (as he affectionately calls her) motivated Don Andre to strengthen his composition skills and influenced him to continue his studies to Tertiary level. While at University, the Music bug reemerged and he decided to pursue a career as a recording artiste, once and for all. Don Andre then teamed up with “Speak World Entertainment” to develop his career. His first recordings came to life: Hennessey, Oh Girl and his first widespread favorite, Imagine This. His next move was collaborating with “After Hours Camp” producing his first hit song, Rave All Night. He commenced work on his debut EP, "Roll Wi A Roll." Don Andre was now prominent and identified as the new sensation in South London. He started performing throughout England, sharing the stage with some of Dancehall’s brightest stars including: Beenie Man, Assasin, Spragga Benz, Black Ryno, Lisa Hype and the comical Twins Of Twins. In 2010 he supported international Reggae star, Gyptian on his “Hold Yuh“ tour as an official opening act for UK dates. He continued to progress receiving substantial endorsement on mainstream radio. He has appeared on Choice FM’s, Focus show with host Natty B. He has gained continuously backing via world renowned BBC’s, Radio 1 and 1Xtra stations. Popular hosts, Robbo Ranx along with Young Lion have taken notice of his talent and recognize him as one to watch. Imagine This was added to the stations playlists via the “Home Grown Initiative”. Don Andre also made it to UK TV screens by taking part in Living TV ’s Party Wars with X-Factor contestant Stacy Solomon. Don Andre has continued to focus on expanding his catalogue recording scores of new material. Productions surfaced from producers such as: Smood Face, Wonda Boy, Orange Hill and many more. Recently he formed his own record label KMG to add more personal creativity to the process. He subsequently found success with Show Mi Yuh Motion and Needle Eye that made it to the number one spot on the Costa Rican charts. In 2015 Don Andre signed with one of dancehall’s most established agencies, Heavy-D Promotions. He won Crytal Blues’ song of the year for his Tom Cruise project. The song and dance move gained popularity, especially among children and young adults. The Tom Cruise video premiered to rave reviews and a remix completed by recording artistes / acclaimed dancers, Ding Dong and Chi-Ching-Ching. His follow-up single, Swaggy Board has been approved by Billboard hit-makers, Major Lazer that provided the instrumental for the track. Don Andre is headed to the top and is confident that he is getting closer to his goals of worldwide recognition. “This is just the beginning, my hard work will pay off. Success is the only option, no looking back just cruising to the top,” Don Andre says. The official Facebook Page of Don Andre For bookings and more Information email; Bookings@heavydpromotions.com
