DJ Staticburn

James Sitzler (a.k.a. – DJ Staticburn) discovered dance music in late 1999 when he heard the third installment of the Tranceport Series mixed by Sandra Collins. Soon thereafter he discovered that he wanted to mix records, after watching house DJ’s spin a house party in the nearby city of Chattanooga. Around four months later he purchased his first set of turntables and a mixer and set about learning how to mix music. Beginning with Deep and Progressive Trance and moving on to Funky Florida Breaks and Drum n Bass. Several months down the line Static started progressing in his level of skill on the turntables and started promoting himself to different people in the Knoxville, TN. That paid off in such as he started landing gigs at house parties, club events, and underground parties around early to mid 2002. He continued getting gigs in the club scene around Knoxville and Chattanooga TN, playing as often as humanly possible. Shortly thereafter, he landed his first big party named “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and due to a good performance and good reviews from that show, he started getting booked more often in the East Tennessee club / party scene. Staticburn has played at club events and parties in the greater East Tennessee and stretching down to Atlanta, GA. for playing some events there as well. Some of the events included are, Shenanigans (Lebanon, TN), Mayhem (Johnson City, TN), Taste the Rainbow (Chattanooga, TN), Monster Boo 2 & Monster Boo 4 (Nashville, TN), It’s Morphin Time (Nashville, TN), as well as weekly parties all across middle and east TN. Static has also had the honor of sharing the stage with some of the best there are in the E.D.M. world (Bad Boy Bill, JJ Flores, George Acosta, Karl K, The Crystal Method, Lorenzo Casanova, Miles Maeda) Some of the accolades he has received the eleven and half years he has been mixing include Runner up for best nightclub DJ in East Tennessee in 2005 and 2006, and actually taking the top spot in 2007. As of Recent, DJ Staticburn has worked with Ace9Shenanigans Entertainment, in Knoxville, Tn, as one of their Head Resident D.J's, and Promoter as well as Working with Donkey Punch Productions Fl, and TN. DJ Staticburn has played events in Florida, Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville, Johnson City, and Trenton, GA. Currently DJ Staticburn is working with His Wife, DJ Cattabrie to Head up the Knoxville Chapter for Donkey Punch Productions, TN. You can also find him at Wild Wing Cafe, where he holds a residency in Farragut, TN Every Friday Night for the best of the best in Funk, Soul, R&B and Top 40 Dance Tracks. He is also working on production in remixes for BreakBeats and Hip Hop.
