About Dj Rebellion
Jamie Carriere (Rebellion) is an Aboriginal Canadian R&B, Soul Singer-Songwriter, Dancer and Model. Originally from the small north-eastern community of Cumberland House, Saskatchewan.
Performing since the age of 13. Carriere has participated in several local Talent/ Modeling shows around Saskatchewan such as; The musical Footloose in 2005, Voices of the North and Northern Spirits in 2008 which was aired live on the MBC Radio. Modeling for Clothing Stores such as Bootlegger and Ricky’s.
In 2010 Carriere was featured on a local Access Communications show broadcasted in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. The show was called Welcome to Kareapy hosted by Karen Duffy. The show is based on overcoming difficult situations, helping people with self esteem issues and basically teaching others to love who you are and bring out their talents. They talk about her music and how to never give up on your dreams. Jamie found her courage to talk about her own issues and how she overcame them to be who she is today.
Carriere worked with local recording artists DA TRE 06 in 2010 and was featured on a few tracks of theirs. Carriere was also featured on D-Stackz solo album called Stackin To A Million released in 2011. Carriere was played on Rez Radio 101.7 FM for being featured on the track, Tansi, I’m Sorry. Also Sunrise, Sunset reached TOP 5 on MBC Radio in La Ronge. She also performed with aboriginal artist Ernest Monias.
Future endeavors include a the ONE LOVE TOUR SASKATCHEWAN for violence awareness in June 2011.
2014 Jamie could be found on numerous Youtube videos (Singing) on the site Reverbnation and Soundcloud she posted covers of (Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera & Lana Del Rey).
