About Dj Correct
My name is Mauro Devesas, aka Dj Correct. I’m Portuguese with Angolan origins, currently based in Oslo. Been spinning records for over a decade, I’m inspired by old school HipHop and Jamaican sound systems. My sets can go from classic Boom Bap, RnB, dancehall, funk, and soul to more bass-based music.
Co-founder of Union Sounds in Aveiro, Portugal. Together we played all over the country, anything from smaller gigs to playing in front of thousands of people.
Since 2016 I co-host a weekly podcast, first on Radio La Fabrik now on Redline Radio in Lausanne, Switzerland. It´s called Les Collaborateurs and it´s dedicated to HipHop featuring guests from all over the world
In 2019 I joined forces with some artists and a producer from Oslo, and started Iskald Sound, an Afrobeat Sound System and music label. We have released tracks with local artists like Eben Jr, Akuvi and Baba Soul, just to name a few.
In 2016 I won the “Annual mixtape Monday” hosted by Reloop Dj, you can find that mix, and many others, on my Mixcloud.
