About Dividium

Dividium are a five piece melodic technical metal band from Hull, UK. The melodic metal band combines the organic fusion of vocalist Neil Bailey, guitarists Peter Delaney, bass of Joe Haslam and the drums of James Coggin. They were formed in February 2013 by Neil and Peter and quickly embraced influences such as Periphery, Dream Theater, Protest the Hero and Soilwork to create their debut album ‘The Scourge’. Featuring the singles ‘Crestfallen’, ‘Throat of the World’ and ‘The Indifference of Good Men’, the album was self-released in September 2013, to much success. The band line up was finalised in August 2014 and the band set about writing and recording in preparation for the release of their second album, ‘In Terrifying Colour’. Written in 10 months, the album was recorded during a 3 week period in August 2015 at Silent City Studios under the expertise of Rob Hobson. Featuring the singles 'Eternity', 'In Terrifying Colour', '330' and 'The Chaos Engine', the album is based around the concept of conflicting emotions. The first single, 'Eternity', was released in February 2016 with an accompanying video, made available through the band’s Facebook and Youtube channel, to favourable reviews. The band intends to release further singles throughout 2016 and are planning to tour relentlessly to promote the album. Dividium has grown into an exciting, unique band, captivating audiences with their live shows and challenging the listener with every song; they are, without doubt, an exciting band. As well as funding and self-releasing their own albums, the band has also taken control of their own media, promotion and online distribution and has begun to garner a loyal following in the UK, as well as Eastern Europe and Russia, through their multiple social media outlets. The band is also passionate about filming and editing their own music and promotional videos, adding their own humorous twist.
