Who is Destination Sanity? This band is one of the most driven bands to come out of South Louisiana recently. Destination Sanity’s influences of musical background ranges from metal to classic rock and everything in between. The current lineup includes... Baret Fritz (Lead vocals/Guitarist) Nick Menard (Bassist) Joey Touchet (Drummer/Backing vocals) Destination Sanity was formed in late 2002 but through the duration of the band many members were lost and changed. Struggling to find new members, Fritz performed acoustic shows which kept the true fans in touch with the music and talent. Eventually Joey Touchet returned on drums and bassist Nick Menard was added to the lineup in 2007. Their stage presence is dynamic, resulting in a loyal fan base that goes as far back as 2002. With the current line-up, the band is in full swing and is working on new material to follow up their sophomore album which was released in 2010. Recently signed with Big Dog Records & KajunAngel Productions, they are on the way straight to the top!! Diversified with many musical influences, Destination Sanity has created a unique take on rock. Their fan base has continued to enjoy and follow their musical growth on the path throughout the years. As a band you should keep an eye on, they have already made many accomplishments such as winning Battle of the Bands, a sponsorship by Rockstar Energy, and have shared the stage with national acts such as Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Straight Line Stitch and Skindred. Now under the wing of Big Dog Records, the sky is the limit. Upcoming shows include a tour in late summer of 2012 and numerous bookings with both local and national acts.
