Dawn Noelle writes her own brand of pop rock with a soulful, guitar-driven edge. A triple threat singer, songwriter, and guitarist, she crafts catchy tunes that explore the terrain of the human spirit with honesty and heart. Her most recent EP, Stories to Tell, is a collection of personal songs about universal themes ranging from letting go of the past and living in the present moment to subjects like loss and faith. Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, and Echosmith are strong influences on Dawn’s musical style and powerful delivery. Having the good fortune to be mentored by stellar singer-songwriters Shellee Coley and Terri Hendrix has helped Dawn to grow as an artist. Other mentors include guitar virtuoso Marcus Eldridge (who produced Stories to Tell) and Grammy-winning producer and member of the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, Lloyd Maines. She has also worked with acclaimed engineer/producer John Davenport, whose credits include Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, and The Rolling Stones. Dawn’s original song, “In a Perfect World” was a semifinalist in the 2012 International Songwriting Competition. She won Fan Favorite in the school division of the 2014 Bands4Good Challenge and was named runner up for Judges’ Pick while raising over $1,700 for music education in schools. She was selected as an Emerging Artist at the 2015 Springboard South Music Festival in Houston. Dawn performs at venues, listening rooms, and festivals. She has a strong desire to help others and is working on combining public speaking with her music in order to reach an even wider audience and support causes that are important to her. This is a young artist bent on making a difference. “People tell me that I have an old soul,” says Dawn. “I have always thought about things a lot. I come by it honestly. My dad passed away when I was six months old. I never knew him, but he taught himself to play guitar, and he wrote songs and poetry. When I pray, I ask my dad to send me a feather as a sign that he hears me. I’ve had feathers show up at all kinds of interesting times and places. I have quite a collection.
