Davina Oriakhi

London based British-Nigerian Soul Fusion artiste Davina Oriakhi, is a versatile singer-songwriter and poet. Davina Oriakhl, began hitting the ground running in the digital music scene in 2017, and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist with her own signature sound and stylisation.
Aptly described as a musically fluid lyricist writing songs about life, love and spirituality, Davina is known for her wholesome and tasteful style that includes elements of Afro-beat, R&B, Soul, Reggae and Jazz, Davina’s music touches on equal parts originality and familiarity, giving her audience a taste of something fresh yet still identifiable. Her music is also reminiscent of several artist influences like Lauryn Hill, Sade, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, Fela Kuti and Brymo.

Her debut Album “Love to a Mortal”, seamlessly weaves through a plethora of genres from R&B/Soul to Jazz , Hip Hop to spoken word, and reggae to Afro-Fusion to highlight her musical fluidity, as she takes listeners on a spiritual love journey of love, lust, pain and joy.
Since her debut release, Davina has performed at O2 Islington, London as an opening act for Nigerian Star “Simi”. She has also released riveting music including “Lagos” featuring Tim Lyre and powerful duets with Preyé “Bang the Drum” and “Vanity”.

Currently, Davina is working two summer singles and a stripped back project (EP) to be released Autumn 2019 as an offering to her listeners. She is also working on a joint project (EP) with Preyé titled “Our Venus” to be release later in the year 2019 which she describes as “an exciting ode to the magic of being, black, female, and alive in the universe”.
