Nacido en la ciudad de Buenos Aires a finales de los 70´s, en un ambiente de clase media trabajadora, comenzó estudiando piano, guitarra y teoría musical. Vivió, junto con sus padres la vida nocturna porteña de los 80´s y en ella, fue adquiriendo influencias musicales muy variadas: desde Clásica, Tangos, Folclore, Rock, New Wave, Rap, Hip Hop, Nü Metal, Industrial, Techno y un largo etcétera de ramas en cada estilo. Su acercamiento a la radio lo inicia a los doce años dando su primeros pasos en la pre y producción de dos programas. Años más tarde, toma el control del aire, dando un paso hacia los faders y potenciómetros, haciendo suyo el espacio sonoro. En 1996 llega a una radio de gran formato, descubre sonidos innovadores de EEUU y Europa, marcando a fuego la música electrónica en su ADN. Comienza la pasión por los vinilos y el arte de la mezcla House, Deep-House, Techno, Progressive, Trance y Goa Trance, este último desarrollado por una de sus grandes influencias detrás de las Technics, Roberto Ceratti, quien, desde su residencia en El Divino de Mar del Plata, cautivándolo de forma total para el desarrollo como DJ en su vida. Manteniendo el foco en su pasión, forma de sentir y vivir la vida, cultivándose en sesiones memorables del K2 de Buenos Aires, Clubland (Pachá), Big One, emprende camino hacia Europa, en la magnifica ciudad de Barcelona, residente en varios Pubs de la ciudad, con un estilo particular y distinguido donde los matices cambian sobre el entorno y la práctica sicológica de la pista, el ambiente y la vibra. Pasa a un perfil mas anárquico y oscuro, dando rienda sueltas a sesiones de 5hs mezclando sonidos del New Wave, Industrial, Gothic, EBM y Sinthy-Pop. Para incrementar sus conocimientos previos, inicia estudios, producción, grabación y creación de música electrónica; y emprende la carrera de Audio Engineering. Con su constante mira en los platos y embarcándose en varios proyectos solistas y en conjunto sobre la ciudad condal y aledaños; Pubs, clubes, fiestas privadas y Afters tienen impregnado sus sonidos y estilo. Oído innato hacia el placer de la calidad sonora y el disfrute. -------------------------------------------------------------- Born in Buenos Aires at the end of the 70s, raised in a middle working class environment. He took piano lessons and then moved on to the guitar and musical theory; but his true destiny was envisioned in his play with the bantams patchbay of the telephone company where his mother worked. With his parents, he lived the “porteña” night life in the 80s and acquired the most varied musical influences:Rock, New Wave, Rap, Hip Hop, Nu Metal, Industrial, Techno, Classical, Tango - which is typical of Argentina- among others. At the age of 12, he had the first encounter with the radio, working on the pre and production of a weekly and a daily show. Three years later, he owned the hertzian waves and he controlled the faders and the knobs in several radio stations. In 1996, he stepped up into a big radio station where he got familiar with new American and European music.It was then, that those styles, together with Electronic Music, sealed his blood with fire from that moment on. At the age of 16, he discovered his passion for vynils and the art of mixing different genres like House, Deep House, Techno, Progressive, Trance y Goa Trance, the latest developed by Roberto Ceratti, one of Diego’s most important and definite influences. Ceratti, behind the 1200mkll, was resident DJ in El Divino, a famous Club in Mar del Plata, Argentina, where DJ Menvielle was captivated by his talent. K2, Clubland (Pachá), Big One, are some of the names of prestigious clubs in Buenos Aires where he experienced unforgettable sessions. Always keeping focused on music, his passion, his way of living and feeling life, he headed for Europe. He settled in the magnificent city of Barcelona, Spain, where he has managed to be resident DJ of several pubs. He has developed a unique and peculiar style which adapts and evolves according to the vibe and feeling in the dance floor. That style became darker and more anarchic in one of his residencies as a DJ. He started to make long sessions mixing sunds of New Wave, Industrial, Gothic, EBM y Sinthy-Pop. Later on, he began studying electronic music production and recording together with audio engineering, as a way to increase his knowledge. Always side by side with his turntables, making some soloist projects and others as a team, Barcelona´s Pubs, Clubs and “Afters” have the Menvielle essence all over.
