About Criss Source

Criss Source, born in Essen was known to be one of the most talented dj's of Nordrhein-Westfalen already in the early 90's. His early developed passion for electronic music blazed on since then and is still sensible in his current dj-sets. His first time behind the decks was at the young age of 15. From that day his career started rapidly. The famous Passarella-Club in Essen was the first station on his way through the clubs. Later he became the host of his own venue at Passarella.

There he constantly shook hands with dj's such as Laurent Garnier, Robert Hood, Claude Young, Sylvie Marks, Roland Casper, Frank de Wulf, Taucher, etc. In short: At the age of 16 Criss was already a part of the international dj-squad and advanced to be a local hero and a magnet to the audience. The famous young man from Essen soon became "everybody's darling" and was favoured by the most renowned clubs and organizers. Tribehouse, Atomic-Club, Move-Club, Neuschwanstein, U-Club, Ratinger-Hof, Katakomben and Poison-Club are only a small amount of his regular stations.

To publish his own music was the next logical step. His first single "Ruhr-Cowboy" - which is also his nickname until today - was published in 1996 on Important Records. One year later he began cooperating with Marco Illetschko (Marc o'Tool). Henceforth they worked together on projects such as Chrome or Motorcraft, remixed tracks from acts like RMB or Monoculture and produced singles under the name of Criss Source. "Sunrise", "Rosebowl", Miami 3000", "19", "Asindia" and the prevailling single "Hugs 'n' Kisses / Neo Tokyo" are the present outcome of that collaboration and a sustained proof that the flame of Criss Source never expires.
